BOLLORE LOGISTICS RECEIVES UNSOLICITED OFFER FROM CMA CGM, VALUED AT $5.5B
DETAIL INFORMATION
After selling its African ports and logistics business to MSC Group at the end of 2022, CMA CGM Group and the French multinational Bolloré Group have started exclusive negotiations for CMA CGM to possibly acquire the remaining components of Bolloré's logistics operations. In an unsolicited indicative offer, CMA CGM estimated the enterprise value of the company to be €5 billion, or roughly $5.5 billion, according to Bolloré.
The agreements are in keeping with the long-term strategy of the CMA CGM Group, which is built on the two pillars of shipping and logistics. In a brief statement, the shipping firm stated that the group's objective is to provide end-to-end solutions in support of its customers' supply chain demands. The CMA CGM Group warned that a deal was not assured at this time but said, "If a deal is reached, the acquisition would further strengthen the CMA CGM Group logistics activities."
