The Port of Tripoli is the main seaport of Tripoli, Libya's capital, and one of the Mediterranean's oldest ports. The Libyan Ports Company manages and operates the facility, which handles a variety of items such as containerized and bulk freight, cattle, chemicals, and oil, among others.
The harbour comprises around 500 hectares and can handle vessels up to 190 metres long with a maximum draught of 10.5 metres. The port is protected by two breakwaters of 2000 and 700 metres. The port's maximum annual capacity is at 4 million mt.
