Due to its strategic location and advanced infrastructure, the Port of Misurata, also known as the Port of Qasr Ahmed, is one of the most significant ports in Libya. It is a commercial port that provides services to Misrata and the surrounding cities, and it has been recognised as one of Libya's best-run seaports. The port has developed into a key stop for numerous international transportation lines.
The port has a 6,000,000 mt annual capacity, a maximum draught of 11 m, and a total length of 3,550 m for berths. The port features a 300 ha free zone that was established in 1978. Various goods, including food, cattle, containers, gasoline, and oil products, are delivered to the port. The port is undergoing a process right now.
