The intersection of the north-south inland and coastal maritime routes is situated in Zhejiang Province on the coast of the East China Sea. It does trade with more than 500 ports in over 90 different nations and regions.
Ningbo, which is east of Zhejiang and south of the Yangtze Delta, is located at the middle of the Chinese coastline. It shares borders with Taizhou to the south and Shaoxing to the west. The Ningbo Zhoushan Port has the highest container volume in the world and the highest annual cargo throughput.
