    The initial large-capacity ship intended to assist in the capture, transportation, and storage or reuse of CO2 has been finished, signifying a new area for shipping. The ship, with a capacity of 22,000 cubic meters, is built for charter services and can transition effortlessly between transporting LCO2 and gas loads, such as LPG, ammonia, and certain petrochemicals.

     

    Capital Maritime Group of Greece has initiated a new operation called Capital Clean Energy Carriers to cultivate the emerging market. It first ordered two ships in July 2023 from South Korea’s Hyundai Mipo Dockyard and subsequently increased it to four vessels. The vessels were created with a length of around 525 feet and an innovative cargo system. Capital states that the vessels will "excel in their adaptability and options as they respond to changing market conditions."
