MSC INVESTS $4B IN TWO NEW CRUISE VESSELS AT CHANTIERS DE L'ATLANTIQUE

On Tuesday, the cruise industry's bold gamble on ongoing expansion reached into the next decade as MSC Cruises finalized contracts valued at $4 billion for two more ships to be constructed at Chantiers de l'Atlantique.nesday.
The cruise operator based in Geneva announced this during key ceremonies in Saint-Nazaire for two additional ships in its World Class series. In consecutive ceremonies, the yard launched the new MSC World Asia and conducted a coin ceremony for MSC World Atlantic.
The two newly-ordered vessels, named World Class 7 and 8, are set to be completed in 2030 and 2031, respectively. The investment now totals $12 billion for MSC across eight World Class vessels at different phases of planning and construction.
