  • ORSTED REMAINS CONFIDENT IN A PROMISING FUTURE FOR OFFSHORE WIND IN EUROPE

    DETAIL INFORMATION

Orsted, a leader in offshore wind in the West, observes promising indicators in the European market, even with short-term challenges in the global market, executives noted during a third-quarter earnings call on Wednesday.

"We continue to be extremely optimistic about the potential for offshore wind in Europe, especially." "We observe the market undergoing a rebasing," stated Rasmus Errboe, Group President and CEO. "We will exercise patience, and we will emphasize quality over quantity."

Errboe emphasized three possible avenues for expansion in Europe: developing Orsted's current pipeline of project opportunities; collaborations and mergers and acquisitions for targeted projects; and engaging in centralized tenders. "2026 is likely to be somewhat on the lower end regarding the number of tenders being released." "However, starting in 2027, there would be a noticeable shift," he remarked, pointing out anticipated leasing activity in Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK.
