U.S. NAVY SEIZES 50 TONS OF AMMUNITION IN THE GULF OF OMAN

On Saturday, the U.S. Navy revealed that naval forces in the Middle East had stopped a fishing trawler that was trying to smuggle more than 50 tonnes of rocket fuel, fuses, and ammunition through a maritime route from Iran to Yemen. The interdiction was carried out by forces working out of the expeditionary sea base USS Lewis B. Puller, marking the second weapons confiscation for the U.S. 5th Fleet in the past month.
