RUSSIAN TANKER CREW STRANDED BY SANCTIONS OFF OF INDIA

Since late May, the Russian-flagged tanker Inda—previously the Linda, which the U.S. Treasury had sanctioned and was thought to be carrying Iranian oil—has been hanging around off the coast of India. Russian media reports that the crew's family members are becoming increasingly anxious for their welfare.
The Inda's crew had gone several months without food or medicine, according to Yulia Khairulaeva, a crew member's wife, who spoke to the Russian publication Lenta.ru (a site owned by the Russian government bank Sverbank). The crew was loitering off the coast of India at the time.
